about us
our history
This story is about a family’s love of colours, passion for natural yarns and infinite creativity. It is a story that has been handed down for generations.
The distant origins of Ielpo began in the late 40s in a beautiful town in the heart of Basilicata when grandfather “nonno” Sebastiano opened a fabric shop that also offered tailoring services.
It would then be father “papà” Pasquale who expanded the family business, becoming an exceptional retail trader, while opening various Ielpo stores in Milan, Lombardy.
our fabrics
Today the story continues with the son Alberto, a lover of fabrics and designs who now treasures the many teachings that have been handed down to him.
Fascinated by the Art Nouveau style, he recreates unique prints on the finest fabrics such as viscose jerseys, wools and linens.
His work results in exclusive made in Italy garments with ever-changing colours, respectful of the physical shape of each individual body.
